Plywood Production line

The production process of plywood involves several steps. First, the logs are debarked and cut into thin sheets, called veneers, using a rotary lathe or slicing machine. The veneers are then sent through a dryer to reduce their moisture content.

Next, the veneers are graded based on their quality and size. The highest quality veneers are used for the face and back layers, while lower quality veneers are used for the core layers.

The veneers are coated with glue, typically a water-resistant phenol-formaldehyde resin, and then stacked and pressed together to form a panel. The panels are fed into a hot press, where heat and pressure are applied to cure the glue and bond the veneers together.

After pressing, the panels are trimmed to their final size and sanded to a smooth finish. They may also undergo additional processing, such as edge banding or coating, depending on the intended use.

The final product is a strong, durable, and versatile material that is used in a variety of applications, from construction and furniture to packaging and musical instruments.
